they're renovating the basement - "they" being the parents. Which means my internet and gaming consoles get taken away for a month. I'm battling this though. And I'm doing it by saving up for laptop that's going to come one week too late and a small HDTV that will come 3 weeks into this renovation mess.

So here I am, first weekend of renovations and the construction workers are making a racket. Can't watch TV through their noise - and as mentioned earlier, no gaming system. There's the computer of course, but MY computer has been moved into the master bedroom and is placed on top of a dresser. And the chair is a stool. Not the most comfortable setting to chill out on the computer for a few hours.

The mother's been ruling the house with an iron fist. "Get the laundry, organize that sty of a room, take out the garbage, nag nag fucking nag." Move out? SURE!!! When someone hires me and pays me more than 11 stupid dollars an hour when I'm doing a job that is 'vital' to the game production cycle. If it's so goddamned vital then give me 15! At least that way I won't be stuck making less than 30 grand a year after I put 40 grand into 4 years of education!

Maybe then I can move out, afford to live on my own while saving up for shit I want without having to deal with the damn naggy parental units.
