The last angry journal entry's been up for a little while now so i figured it was a good time to shed the grumpy pants and focus on what's good in life.

Turns out not much, haha. Today is day one of my how-manyieth attempt to quit smoking and sofar I've lost my access badge at work and almost got hit by a car while crossing the street (completely my fault). Somewhere out there, a driver is pissed at me. I decided it was worth dropping the cigs once again after having one last night, and feeling a certain numbness going down my left arm as i was inhaling. The moment the cig was discarded, the numbness went away. And that gave me the scare of a lifetime. No nic-fix is worth a heart attack or worse.

So I'm treating this as sort of a "make a habit to counter your habit" type mentality. See how long I can procrastinate on having another cig. And I'm a damned good procrastinator, if I've learned anything about myself.

So here goes nothing.
